After MLive sat down with 13 different pizza chains in the Grand Rapids Area, Cottage Inn Pizza’s box was sitting on top. Cottage Inn Pizza was named number one by MLive, defeating known pizza franchises such as Dominos, Pizza Hut, and Papa John’s. Others who were on the list included Little Caesars, Papa Murphy’s, Hungry Howie’s, Jet’s, Old Chicago Pizza, Pieology, BC Pizza, Fazoli’s and Mancino;s. The Criteria for this competition was simple. Every pizza was a small round with cheese and pepperoni. Details evaluated when making the decision included, appearance, taste and how well the pizza ingredients stood out.
What Cottage Inn has been trying to do for years is finally becoming a reality. Cottage Inn Pizza has been working to become a top pizza franchise for a long time. The pizza business is extremely competitive, new pizza chain concepts are being developed while old ones are innovating in different areas. With the always changing landscaping of the pizza industry, Cottage Inn Pizza still remains relevant to many. Winning is just one part of how Cottage Inn pizzas remains a favorite in many people’s eyes.
After the judges lined the pizzas up and went one by one taste testing all of them, it was an easy choice. Cottage Inn Pizza had everything the judges were looking for. From the very first moment the box was opened the pizza looked delicious. It stayed warm and the ingredients all complimented each other very well. “Looks good, taste good,” said John D. Gonzalez a judge for MLive’s National pizza chains ranked from worst to best.
Winning MLive’s competition isn’t the only recent accolade for Cottage Inn. Our pizza was also named number one for Local 4 Click on Detroit. Local 4 Click on Detroit holds competitions where people “Vote 4 the Best”, where the locals decide who is the best in various categories. For the pizza category, Cottage Inn Pizza brought home the trophy, with a special shout out to our Lincoln Park franchise location for sealing the win. Seeing our franchisees succeed, is and always will be, very rewarding.
Not only did Cottage Inn become a top pizza franchise, the Cottage Inn Pizza Franchise has made the Entrepreneur Franchise 500 list. Sitting at number 468, Cottage Inn Pizza beat out the Entrepreneur Franchise 500 largest first-time applicant pool ever, reaching over 1000, which made this year’s competition extremely competitive. Cottage Inn is very proud of the accomplishments that we have achieved but winning awards isn’t the only thing that helped Cottage Inn Pizza Franchise reach the top.
Although awards are nice and trophies look cool Cottage Inn Pizza will always cater to our customers. Our franchise is built to give the consumer a gourmet experience, and better yet a gourmet taste.
