I don’t know if you have heard the buzz about Cottage Inn or not but great things are happening at Cottage Inn.
2014 has been a very good year. Not only are sales up double digits and most locations have risen over $2,000 in weekly sales, new locations are opening as well. With every new location, the value of existing locations rise.
In May of 2014 Cottage Inn opened in Howell and in June 2014 we arrived in Lincoln Park. Troy Cottage Inn will be opening in October 2014 off of Long Lake and Midland Cottage Inn will open in November of 2014 off of Saginaw Road followed by Clinton Township’s opening off of Garfield Rd in December of 2014. Roseville Cottage Inn off of Utica is signed and we will have an opening date coming soon. Saginaw Cottage Inn is signed and slated to open in February of 2015.
Other locations finalizing leases will be opening in Waterford, Bloomfield Hills, Dearborn Heights and Allendale. Cottage Inn is expanding outside Michigan as well. The Toledo store could be open as early as January 2015. Canadians like Cottage Inn too, as we have come to love and respect our fellow Canadians at the Michigan International Speedway when they come to enjoy the NASCAR races and Cottage Inn Pizza. We are currently entertaining an area developer for the Ottawa market.
With all of the excitement and energy happening at Cottage Inn we are maintaining a nice pace. One of the mistakes a company can make is growing too fast. We have actually turned away some looking to take us to the west coast. Being great at marketing can take a company to the next level quickly but offering a stellar product with excellent service accompanied with great marketing will take a company to the next level and keep it there.
While many of our competitors in the Midwest have a mature product line and have put more of an effort on growing internationally, Cottage Inn is dedicated to maintaining a smooth pace. Managing our growth and dedicating time to our newest franchisees to make sure they are successful is of the utmost importance.
