Carolinas Area Developer Delivers Cottage Inn Pizza to Greensboro
Steve Alie got his first taste of Cottage Inn Pizza as a student at the University of Michigan – Dearborn. He was immediately hooked. So when his entrepreneurial ambitions brought him to the Carolinas, and his market research showed that the region did not have enough options for high-quality gourmet pizza that could be picked up or delivered, he knew what to do: In April, Alie opened a Cottage Inn Pizza franchise on the campus of the University of North Carolina in Greensboro.
After college, Alie worked at a desk job for ten years until he developed the entrepreneurial itch. Alie has ten years of restaurant management experience — he has two Salsarita’s Fresh Cantina restaurants and a Chop Fresh Salad Company location in metro Detroit.
Alie, an area developer for Cottage Inn Pizza throughout the Carolinas, continues the franchise’s strong tradition of community involvement. He has invested in local outreach and plans on significant contributions to Greensboro schools. Alie believes that the pizza—with its signature crust made from a proprietary flour mix, and fresh toppings—as well as a range of Mediterranean and other food choices, are irresistible for area foodies, and that the delivery and pickup options are even more appetizing, especially for local students.
Alie is particularly impressed by the franchising model that he says is “simple and geared for growth” with a wealth of corporate support from pizza veterans. Cottage Inn Pizza offers a thorough training program and ongoing support to its franchisees, something Alie truly appreciates.
As an area developer, Alie is looking forward to growing the pizza franchise’s presence in the Carolinas both by opening locations on his own and selling franchise licenses to qualified individuals. This way he can introduce more customers to the delicious pizza that got him hooked many years ago.
