Best Pizza City in the U.S. – Detroit
If you’re thinking that pizza is the right industry for you, we couldn’t agree more. In our home state of Michigan, Detroit was recently ranked #1 for the best pizza city in the U.S. We think that’s a pretty good sign to open up your own franchise here in Michigan… Cottage Inn Pizza KNOWS pizza!
According to PMQ Magazine, two of the key metrics used to find the best pizza city in the U.S. were the “number of independent pizza restaurants per 100,000 residents in each city and the number of big chain restaurants per 100,000 residents”.

A few of the reasons Detroit was also ranked the best pizza city in the U.S. in 2022 was because the average price for a large cheese pizza was significantly lower (27%) than the typical cost. Detroit also had the highest Google Trends score when it came to pizza through internet activity.
